Project Coordinator
 

Your primary responsibilities will include managing the pre-construction process as it relates to new homes and/or remodel, providing assistance for selecting and documenting interior and exterior finishes to enhance the personalization of the home or remodel, creating and maintaining all documents related to selections, and be the liaison between the customer and required parties as it relates to the design and selection of homes. 

 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Communication and follow up with the Purchasing Department

  • Preparing documents for permits:  applications, site plans, floor plans, etc. 

  • Manage architectural changes

  • Preparing and submitting for HOA approvals 

  • Communicating with home-buyers and designers to complete selections 

  • Completing spec home selections

  • Updating BuilderTrend folders 

  • Creating and managing Scopes-of-work

 

Secondary Responsibilities 

 

  • Update and maintain meeting documents such as the Production Meeting 

  • Manage Warranty Claims

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years of experience in the construction industry

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proven knowledge of the new home pre-construction process

  • Ability to interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written)

  • Flexible and able to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines.

  • Read and understand blueprints, plans and specifications.

  • Experience with BuilderTrend software would be beneficial.

  • Organized, team player, detail oriented, multi-tasker, critical thinker/problem solver with time management.

Estimator

Your primary responsibilities will include estimating construction projects, as it relates to new homes and/or remodel, providing assistance to the accounting department as it relates to purchase orders and invoices.   

 

Responsibilities: (but not limited to..)

  • Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.

  • Developing estimates and bids for residential new construction projects.

  • Read interpret and understand project documentation, building code and municipal requirements and communicate to outside vendors and subcontractors.

  • Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price.

  • Maintains cost keys and price master lists with subcontractors.

  • Estimating/bidding of custom designs, options for new construction, residential projects.

  • Prepares construction budget by analyzing home plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs for each elevation. Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information; prepare reports summarizing information and trends.

 

Qualifications:

  • Construction Estimating and/or similar experience (at least 5 years)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proven knowledge of the new home and renovation construction

  • Ability to interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications proficient with Google Drive and Dropbox

  • Experience with BuilderTrend software would be beneficial.

  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written)

Junior Designer

Elevation Building Company is looking for a professional, organized and self-motivated Jr. Designer who has 1-2 years minimum of residential design experience and who can thrive in an intimate, but very fast-growing firm. Candidate must be good at multi-tasking, organized, energetic, eager to learn, and also be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. The Junior Designer will contribute to the success of the firm by assisting with all aspects of design development, sourcing, meeting preparation, technical drawings, maintaining organized binders and sample library. Candidate should be able to work within existing systems and help create new systems for continued success. Must be adaptable and able to successfully function with lots of balls in the air!

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Degree in interior design, design school or equivalent experience.

  • 1-2 years of residential design experience

  • Rendering skills is a plus

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook- must be prompt and utilize strong communication skills when responding to emails

  • Proficient at navigating our trade partners showrooms, obtaining pricing, reserves

  • Experience selecting and specifying all selections as it relates to new construction and renovations. 

  • Experience with quotes, proposals, budgets, purchase orders and purchasing process 

  • Excellent attention to detail and highly organized

  • Ability to multi-task; meet deadlines and is eager to learn and grow with EBC

  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Have a positive, friendly, professional attitude and a good sense of humor

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Independently create full design concepts for projects based on Principal’s design vision

  • General research and all sourcing

  • Prepare for client presentations by creating mood boards, floorplans, drawings and elevations.

  • Follow up with vendors on lead times and quotes 

  • Organize and manage samples library

  • Research new products and materials

  • Type up and organize meeting notes, project status, deliverables, etc. 

  • Maintain organized client binders

  • Read architectural plans and produce sketches, drawings and room layouts.
