Your primary responsibilities will include managing the pre-construction process as it relates to new homes and/or remodeling, providing assistance for selecting and documenting interior and exterior finishes to enhance the personalization of the home or remodel, creating and maintaining all documents related to selections, and be the liaison between the customer and required parties as it relates to the design and selection of homes. 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Communication and follow-up with the Purchasing Department, Pre-Construction Manager, and Project managers 
  • Preparing & procuring permits:  applications, site plans, floor plans, etc. 
  • Manage architectural changes
  • Preparing and submitting for HOA approvals 
  • Communicating with home-buyers and designers to complete selections 
  • Updating BuilderTrend folders 
  • Creating and managing scopes of work

Secondary Responsibilities 

  • Update and maintain meeting documents such as the Production Meeting 
  • Manage Warranty Claims

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the construction industry
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven knowledge of the new home pre-construction process
  • Ability to interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Flexible and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Read and understand blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Experience with BuilderTrend software would be beneficial.
  • Organized, team player, detail-oriented, multi-tasker, critical thinker/problem solver with time management.

Elevation Building Company is seeking a highly skilled team player that can manage a project with multiple $2,000,000 homes on Lake Lanier. This position is responsible for supervising all aspects of onsite construction at specified communities in the Cumming area, to meet the quality, customer, cycle time, and budgetary objectives of Elevation Building Company.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Effectively and efficiently manage all construction activities, including subcontractor relations.
  • Ensure that all homes are being built to the highest quality, delivered on time, and within budget.
  • Enforce all safety requirements.
  • Ensure that all work is in compliance with City or County requirements and building codes.
  • Evaluate and report all necessary changes to the building process, such as change orders and/or purchase orders.
  • Evaluate home-building processes on a continual basis to define opportunities for improvement.
  • Approve all trade partner invoices with regard to work completion and quality.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, customer care, and sales.
  • Ensure timely house completions and deliveries.
  • Assist with other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience of single family residential construction homes $1millon+ in sales price
  • Self-motivated
  • Valid driver’s license
  • High degree of construction knowledge and management skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and integrity
  • Computer literate in MS Suite, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Physical Requirements

The ability to operate a motor vehicle, read blueprints, climb stairs, climb ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and/or carry equipment that may be more than 50 pounds, and occasionally operate construction equipment. The job requirements may be both indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions that are extreme at times.

Expectations for all employees

Must be able to work under limited supervision and perform standard and advanced duties. Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills are required. Must be able to work successfully in a team environment; have a strong customer service focus; and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected

Compensation

Base Salary: the expected base salary depends on experience, paid twice a month.

Bonus: this position is eligible for a quarterly bonus
